As a sister album to Postcard From Tokyo, A Message From New York leverages vocals from Duarte to represent "the gentleman's perspective" to the relationship with the female character from Tyesha Ko's album.  Duarte's vocals are layered over Budoshido's signature trap soul beats for a moving and heartfelt release.
